My favourite day of the whole trip!

We arrived in Hong Kong to stay with my mums cousin Emma.

On Friday 21st September we went to Honk Kong Disneyland…..they had a special train to get there…

We went to Tomorrowland. The first ride we went on was Space Mountain – the scariest ride in the whole of Disneyland.

In the Wild West we went on a great roller coaster ride….Dad and I went on twice – this is us at the front of the roller coaster.

We went to see the Lion Kong performance – it was great!

Dad stubbed my toe – it BLED! A band was playing and they cheered me up!

I loved Toy Story land…is the A alive?

I played with the Toy Solidiers. We went on the Parachute Drop and RC Racer ride. The RC ride was very scary – Mum SCREAMED…non-stop! Woody and Jessie were fun!

I met Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. I love Minnie Mouse! Mickey Mouse gave me a kiss. They kissed each other when they went off for a break!

In “Its a small world after all” it was a bit confusing about Australia…..apparently we have Easter Heads here!

I loved my piggy pork buns!

We watched an amazing fire works display over the castle – just like at the start of the Disney movies!

This was my favourite spot in Emma’s flat.

On Sunday 23rd of September we arrived back in Perth.

I was happy to get home.

But what a wonderful trip!

Shopping in Shanghai

We arrived in Shanghai (September 15-20th) to stay with my Mums friend Jenny (from High School) and Chris (from University). They have two boys Jordy and Jakey.

The first night we went out for dinner and then up the bottle opener (yep that’s what its called). Inside there was a model of the city – it was AMAZING. We went up to the top – SCARY because you could see through the floor (like the top of a bottle opener!). There were 105 floors.

We went the fabric market. Outside a man was selling this:

it is a tiger paw. I dont even want to look at the photo. It was awful.

We got a dumpling with a straw in it because there was soup inside – it burnt my tongue as it was sooooo hot.

This is the zig-zag bridge – the water was full of fish – I have to admit even more than 50!

We went to a famous dumpling restaurant. Not dumplings again! We watched them make the dumplings. Mum ordered the lunch – the first dish that came out only had one small rice wrapped in banana lead – EVERYONE WAS GOING FOR IT!

When we had a walk around town there were lots of brides and grooms having their photos taken!

I have the whole world in my hand!

The dragons looked scary……NOT!

We went a did a big shopping day – I nooooooooooooooooodles for lunch – yum!

I had a great time with Jordy and Jakey. They were fun to play with – we played games and they have an art room – which I LOVED!

I was sad to leave them…..

The Great Wall

We went to Beijing for a week from the 8th to 15th of September.

We went to the Forbidden City.

I was drawing the buildings. I got sick of people touching me and taking my photo all the time 😦

My favourite dragon was white…

My favourite part was the model of the theatre because it had trap doors and people that were tied to rope around their waist.

We went to the Beijing Zoo. I got to see the Panda’s – they were soooooo cute! The monkeys were funny. And I saw some kissing/fighting fish and lots more!

I went to the Summer Palace – I like it better than the Forbidden City. There were lots of steps!

There were lots of Buddha’s on one building – over 1000 of them!

127alber

The kite flying was cool. The kites were a LONG way away. Can you see how far away the kite is in the 2nd photo?

There were paintings everywhere. It must have taken them ages to do them all.

We went up to the Great Wall – it was my favourite trip.

At the Lama temple I spun a prayer wheel.

Those are bins!

People were burning lots of incense.

We went to a really yummy vegetarian buffet – my cousins would have loved it! I thought some tofu tasted like meat!

We went to where the Olympics were held 4 years ago. I like the birds nest and the pool had scales on it!

And I also went to an amazing acrobatics show……..I wish I could be the young girl who did lots of great tricks!

Off to China

Today (Friday 7th of Setember) we hopped on the train to Beijing! We passed through the Gobi desert

At the Chinese border they changed the bogies on the train because the train tracks are smaller! You couldn’t feel a thing!

When we woke up the next morning you couldnt see anything – the pollution was ghastly!

The air got better when there wasn’t any factories around….

Mmmmmmmmongolia!

Today we started our adventures around Mongolia (28th August to 8th September). (We arrived in Ulanbataar by train early am and flew to Moron early pm. Then a 3.5hr van trip to Lake Khovsgol)

It is strange living in a Ger – especially as it gets very cold at night but luckily we have a fire to keep us nice and toasty and we have three blankets as well!

We made a cairn and I wished that I liked food that I didn’t like and that people wont bully me at my new school.

Daddy and I made a great cubby house – it was huge – as you can see from the picture.

This little girl was really cute!

(After 2 days very bumpy travelling we arrived at the Great White Lake)

This is the view of the moon out of our ger!

We went on a walk around a volcano crater. When I had to lean into the crater for a photo I got scared. You could see our camp from the volcano.

Daddy and Mummy thought that the black things were dried lava – but yes I was right – they were actually cairns!

We went on a row boat and I went fishing. But I didn’t catch anything  – Daddy didn’t catch anything either.

The beautiful sunset over great white lake….

We went to hot springs – and it was divine! The water was nice and warm. Where the water came out of the ground it smelt like sulphur!

This was a buddhist temple in Karakorum. At the museum I enjoyed looking at the model of the old city.

Just before we got to the next camp we went on a camel – yay!

Daddy and I walked up sand dunes and found the steepest bits to run back down – weeeeeeeee!

In the forests we found lot of amazing creatures…furry cows, amazing birds, gasshoppers to catch, marmuts – they are like chipmonks and wolves.

The roads we travelled made me feel sick as they were winding and very very bumpy!

After 8 nights in gers we arrived back in Ulan Bataar! I had mojitos to drink (without alcohol!!)

Bye for now!

Bump, Bump, Bump!

We went on a bumpy train ride from Moscow to Irkutsk for 4 nights (18-22 of August). It was fun but I couldn’t sleep that well.

Here I am outside my train – Daddy nearly got arrested here 😉 for using his camera on the station.

Here is what our compartment looked like. It was very very tiny – even smaller than our bathroom at home! The food was good on the train. I had 2 minute chicken noodles for breakfast! I had a cold so it helped!

Two compartments down from us there were 4 beautiful dalmation dogs and 4 women – when I walked past one of the dogs was on the top bunk poking his head out!

Arnie has a cold too! This is me writing in Russian.

A game I made. The red squares are bad, the blue good and the green nothing.

Some pictures of the view from the train!

Here are the lovely Russian couple we meet – Yulia and Sergey – they are on their way to work in China. They think that I am lonely being an only child – but I’m not …….because I am great company for myself!

tsk….tsk….tsk

We stayed in Irkutsk for 5 nights (22-27th August). I am nearly as tall as the Eiffel Tower…..NOT!

When I asked for Hot Chocolate, I didn’t get Hot Chocolate…..I got HOT CHOCOLATE!

When in the local park I met a lovely family and did some chalk drawing.

Some of the great graffiti art we found walking around town. The red lady is my favourite!

Some of the statues around town….do you like the backpacker who stood still too long?!

We went on the Circumbaikal railway on Saturday. We had races running along the railway tracks.

Squish…squish…squish to get on the ferry to get back to Irkutsk.

I didnt realise my Papa was a pizza man in Siberia. Did you Grandma? A man of many talents!

Moscow….Moscow

Today (Tuesday 13th of August) we arrived at the airport and our driver to now show up. After waiting 2.5 hrs a man came to pick us up. But his car had been towed and he had to pay a  $200 fine to get it back. I didnt get to bed until 2:30am.

This is our local church….

Today (Friday 16th of August) we went to the Kremlin. It was really cool. I loved all the gold and silver domed roofs.

We also went to Saint Basils Cathedral and the red square. There was an amazing choir inside.

We also went to a local shopping mall – I had amazing sushi there!

Today (Saturday 14th of August) – I am about to head off on the TransMongolian Train tonight. I am excited because I am going on a train for 4 nights – the best bit is no showers – phew!

Croquetas

Today (Sunday 5th of August) we drove to Barcelona. We were there until Tuesday 13th of August.

We stayed in Barcelona with Rob, Sam and Thomas. I was a flower girl at their wedding in England when I was 3 – the same age Thomas is now!

We walked down to the water. We saw some …. pirate ships. We got to go in them.

I am sitting in a lions tail!                                    I am standing on a cannon ball!

There were amazing “statues”. My favourite is the green one …. he appeared to be sitting on thin air.

Different views of the Sagrada Familia. I plan to go back there when it is finished – SOMEDAY!

The little boy is Thomas. He is a 3 boy! I loved hanging out with his Mum, Sam. Dad and Rob are the two grumpy old men!

We went to Gaudi park – amazing mosaics…..

More Gaudi buildings…..

You can buy very very cheap beer! Dad is drunk (not yet!)!

I went to see flamenco dance. I loved this dancer the best – he wet his hair so when he span around water sprayed out.

Me as a flamenco dancer…..

Every night we would go out and eat Tapas. Yum!

Going faaaaaaaast (and slow)

Today (Wednesday 1st of August) I went to my new place – Gedre (in the Pyrannes). It was really fun because behind the hotel there is this ride – it is like toboganning so it was fun! The first time I went really fast (didnt use the brake at all), the second time I stopped and then went really fast and the third time I went nice and slow!

Today (Thursday 2nd of August) we went on a really big walk. I got really tired but it was a really cool walk!

Some amazing plant life…

This is the biggest waterfall in Europe…..

Today (Friday 3rd of August) we walked to Spain (and we didnt even have to walk as far as yesterday!). Here is one of the rare Pyrannes vultures.

and us having lunch in Spain!

Today (Saturday 4th of August) Mum and Dad made me go on another walk….as you can see from the colour in the sky it ended up raining. We had lunch in the car. I knew we shouldn’t have gone for another walk.
